Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive and Transfer to Cairns Hotel

A magnificent utopia, Cairns is home to the World Heritage Rainforests and the remarkable Great Barrier Reef.

Spend some time in the remote wilderness of the Daintree Rainforest, one of the most diverse and beautiful examples of Mother Nature’s work in the world or, take a stroll through the exotic Botanic Gardens for striking sights of lakes, rainforest plants and exotic wildlife. For sun-seekers, head to the Esplanade, Boardwalk and Lagoon for a fantastic afternoon of sights, sun, sea and sand.

Day 2
Great Barrier Reef Tour

Today is your chance to tick a fantastic adventure off of your bucket list – A trip to the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll board a catamaran at Cairns marina, accompanied by your local Cairns guide, and journey to the Marine World platform on the Outer Barrier Reef. Here you’ll have opportunities to snorkel at leisure or sail on the semi-submersible boat for “dry” reef viewing. Enjoy a fabulous buffet style lunch served on the pontoon before departing back to Cairns marina and your hotel.

Day 3
Uluru - Sounds of Silence Dinner

Today you’ll fly to Uluru, a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid “Red Centre”, ahead of your enchanting evening at the Sounds of Silence dinner. You’ll begin your memorable experience with a glass of sparkling wine and delicious canapes as you enjoy the unmistakeable sounds of a didgeridoo, overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park at sunset.

Indulge in a three-course buffet dinner under the waking night sky and settle in to enjoy a presentation by a local astronomer who will guide you through the Southern Cross, signs of the Zodiac and the Milky Way.

Days 4 - 7
Sydney Hotel Stay and Tour

As you arrive in Sydney, you’ll enjoy a fascinating sight-seeing tour, including stops at iconic Bondi Beach and the historical gap lookout, with a guide. First, you’ll visit Chinatown with its colourful mixture of Asian culture, shopping and cuisine before strolling through the delights of Darling Harbour, the vibrant city centre and the historic rocks precinct. Next, you’ll head to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and gaze out to the panoramic views over Sydney Opera House, the harbour and Harbour Bridge. You’ll then continue through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and the historic suburb of Paddington with its Victorian terrace houses.

Days 7 - 10
Indian Pacific

Step on board the magnificent Indian Pacific on your journey of adventure across 4352km of the world’s longest stretch of railway track. From the spectacular heights of the majestic Blue Mountains to the beautifully barren expanse of the Nullarbor Plain, this truly is a journey of contrasts.
