Its craggy fells, meadows that teem with wildflowers, tumbling waterfalls and iconic lakes have long been romancing visitors and have been the inspiration for many a poet, author and artist. Visiting in August, enjoy a ramble across the fells warmed by the late summer sun, take a scenic cruise on the lakes, head to a traditional beer garden or take afternoon tea on a sunny terrace overlooking the lake.

Days 6 - 9
Loch Lomond National Park

Rich in nature and outdoor activities, Loch Lomond National Park presents the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. During your stay you could explore the nearby Stirling Castle, visit one of the whiskey distilleries, stroll along the loch shore at sunset or try your hand at fishing – the possibilities are endless.

Day 10

The mystique and legend of Loch Ness awaits. You’ll tour the waters of this deep, dark loch while searching for a glimpse of the ever allusive Nessie before travelling to Fort William for an overnight stay to relax before your Jacobite train experience the next day.

Described as the greatest railway journey in the world, step aboard the steam locomotive made famous from the magical world of Harry Potter. Better known as the Hogwarts Express, your journey will show you the highlights of Western Scotland as you chug past deep sparkling lochs, rugged terrain, charming villages and cross over the famous Glenfinnan viaduct. This 84 mile round trip begins near Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain and ends in Mallaig, all the way taking in magnificent views of the highlands landscape with its fishing villages, silvery beaches and small Isles that sometimes appear in the distance on a fine, clear day.
