Day 2
Indian Pacific

As you wake, you’ll find yourself on the edges of the sweeping Nullarbor Plain. Vast horizons and big blue skies await and the ancient stillness of the desert landscape is only broken by a mob of friendly kangaroos or the occasional circling bird of prey. After a leisurely breakfast, you'll step off the train for a short stop in Cook. Once a bustling railway community, now effectively a ghost town, Cook gives new meaning to the expression "middle of nowhere".

Day 3
Indian Pacific

By morning, desert views give way to the rolling South Australian countryside. You’ll enjoy an entertaining stop in the beautifully-designed Adelaide, renowned for arts festivals, pop-up bars, and laneway restaurants. Over lunch, watch as pastures dissolve into tough mallee scrub on approach to Broken Hill, one of Australia’s legendary outback bases. Here, you can visit the The Main Drag, The Regional Art Gallery or The Big Picture.

Day 4
Sydney - Disembark Indian Pacific and Hotel Stay

Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. You have just travelled from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific, through some of the most striking landscapes on Earth. From a coffee cruise around one of the world’s most famous harbours to an action-packed day of sightseeing or shopping in the city, Sydney provides an entertaining and fitting end to your spectacular transcontinental rail adventure.

Day 5
Sydney - Hotel Stay and Tour

Today you’ll enjoy a fascinating tour of Sydney and its neighbours. The tour includes fantastic sights of Manly Beach, Darling Harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Next, you’ll embark on a ferry to Taronga Zoo, home to Sumatran Tigers, Asian Elephants, Giraffe, Meerkats, Gorillas and many more.

Day 6
Sydney - Hotel Stay and Tour

During a morning 'Sydney with Conviction' Walking Tour explore all the city icons, like The Rocks, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the Sydney Opera House, but explore them in a way most tourists don’t. We’ll take the least-walked path on this Sydney walking tour, and meander through this fascinating city’s tumultuous history and into the modern day.

In the afternoon use your free time to explore the enticing city at your own leisure. Wander the coastal, cliff-side paths, with rock pools and secluded bays, where you can watch surfers ride the waves. Embrace the city’s rich heritage and seek out the aboriginal rock carvings near Mackenzies Point or tour the Rocks and learn about Australia’s first European settlement.
